How to Use

Beard Oil

  1. Start with a clean, slightly damp beard.
  2. Put 3–5 drops in your palm (more for longer beards).
  3. Rub hands together, then work the product down to the skin beneath the beard and out to the ends for even conditioning.
  4. Comb through. Best in the morning or after a shower.

Beard Balm

  1. Warm a pea-sized amount between your fingers.
  2. Work into the beard, focusing on mid-lengths and ends.
  3. Shape and tame flyaways. Use after oil if you want hold.
  4. A little goes a long way. Add more only if needed.

About the Owner

Veteran Built. Texas Made.

Hey, I'm Chase — the founder of Viking Recon Beard Gear.

I'm a U.S. Army combat veteran, and this brand was built from my passion for quality, discipline, and taking care of the details. It started in a kitchen — one batch, one bottle at a time — and grew into a mission: high-quality beard care for men who value performance, simplicity, and a purpose behind the products they use.

Viking Recon is more than grooming gear. It's the mindset I live by: stay disciplined, work hard, and always keep pushing forward. Thanks for being here and supporting a veteran-owned small business.

FAQ

Will it make my beard greasy?

Used right, no. Start with a few drops of oil (or a pea of balm) and add only if you need more. Work the product down to the skin beneath the beard for even conditioning.

Oil or balm: which do I want?

Beard oil helps soften and condition beard hair while moisturizing the skin underneath. Beard balm provides light hold and helps tame stray hairs. A lot of guys run oil daily and balm when they want shape. Grab one of each for $40.

How does the 2 for $40 deal work?

Add any two oils or balms to your arsenal — same scent or mixed — and $10 comes off automatically at checkout. Four items? Two pairs, $20 off.

How much should I use?

Oils: about 3–5 drops for a short-to-medium beard. Balms: pea-sized to start. Longer beards need a bit more. If it looks shiny or wet, you used too much.

What sizes are the bottles and tins?

Beard oils are 1 fl oz (30 mL). Beard balms are 2 oz (56.7 g). Each is $25.

How fast do you ship, and what if something arrives damaged?

Orders typically process and ship within 2–3 business days from Azle, Texas. Carrier transit times vary and are not guaranteed. If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us promptly with your order information and photos of the product and packaging — email vikingreconbeardgear@gmail.com — and we'll make it right. Full details on our Shipping and Returns & Refunds pages.

What's in the products, and are they safe for sensitive skin?

Every oil and balm is made with carefully selected carrier oils, butters, waxes, and essential oils; the full ingredient list is printed on every label and is being added under "Full ingredients & safety" on each product (email us if you need it before then). They're for external cosmetic use only. If you have known allergies or sensitive skin, review the ingredient list before use and patch test before first use. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. More on our Ingredients & Safety page.

Is everything made in small batches?

Yes. Handcrafted in Texas by a U.S. Army veteran with carefully selected carrier oils, butters, waxes, and essential oils. Small batches. No shortcuts. No filler.
